Peter Vice (actual name Peter Josef Weis) is an American-educated German ex-pat from the football-mad town of Kaiserslautern. When US friends learned of the pronunciation of his last name, they insisted on calling him “Vice” or “Vicey”.
Most of Peter’s life has revolved around extolling the virtues of football–particularly his most beloved Bundesliga–to his stateside compatriots. For the US mates, he’s spent twenty years writing about football all over the globe on an sincerely penned passion project covering 26 major tournaments and spanning over 15,000 pages.
At present, he writes daily English translations of Bundesliga news and weekly columns for Bulinews.com.
Peter can and will talk football whenever awake. Given that he frequently cradles his copy of 11freunde whilst nodding off, he’s been known to talk football in his sleep. For him, football remains as indispensable as a sense of humor in life. Anywhere and everywhere that he’s traveled or sojourned on this planet, he’s never failed to make friends amongst those who speak with their feet.
All are welcome to engage on any football related topic with Peter at any time.
Except…er….that of the current fortunes hometown club 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
Yeah. Perhaps best to leave that one off to the side for now.
